Winter Nets 2012

So last Thursday night was the second net session at the brand new Cambourne Sports Centre. The nets taking place every Thursday from 7-10, with the first hour being for the youngsters, has so far been a big success.

The facilty boats 2 nets with mats taking up half the hall with the other half available to be used for 1 on 1 coaching, which so far has been a big hit.

The club has had a good turn out for both the youth section and the seniors, with everybody getting stuck in and taking advantage of the new facility that we have secured until the summer.

2012 Elections

From January 10th - January 28th 2012 we will be running elections for club committee positions, with final voting and results announced at the AGM on the evening of the 29th January. All club members and prospective club members are invited to nominate themselves to one or more of the following roles if they would like to be included as a candidate in the vote.

Indoor Nets 2012

The indoor nets for 2012 have been sorted and the exciting news is that they start on Thursday 5th January 2012 at the new Sports Centre in Cambourne.

The nets will take place every Thursday night between 7pm and 10pm. Between 7pm and 8pm will be the Junior nets and then the Senior nets will take place from 8pm til 10pm. The cost will be £5 for each senior member and £2:50 for the Junior members.

With the nets taking place in Cambourne we hope to see as many faces as possible especially with four Senior sides entered for the 2012 season.

The Bombers break their duck in a thriller against IPAccess

Just a quick note to say thanks to IPAccess for their help in organising the friendly 40/40 match against the Club Captain's XI last Sunday.

Match Summary:

IPAccess skipper Ukesh won the toss and elected to bat and with the aid of some swashbuckling partnerships and a rain-break they managed to push the total to a respectable 204 before being all out on the last ball of the innings. Both Russell and Little Sharon Cooke bowled with pace and accuracy while the Cambourne fielders did an excellent job of chasing down the lusty blows offered up by the IPA batsmen.
